What Anti-virus program are you using? Try disabling the e-mail scanning in the anti-virus program and or disabling the anti-spam program to see if that makes a difference. https://forums.techguy.org/threads/solved-cant-send-e-mails.633510/ Let us know what happens. EAFiedler, Oct 4, 2007 #3 Rocky-Bandit Thread Starter Joined: Oct 3, 2007 Messages: 5 I have Norton and have turned off the e-mail scanner with no luck. I also changed the timeout to 5 minutes which was also suggested. I'm still getting the same error message. It seems strange to be able to receive and not send!?! Any other thoughts? Thanks! Sorry! Could you explain in more detail how to do that. I'm no longer afraid of the computer so I'm willing to try things! R-B Rocky-Bandit, O
