221 Error Opening Database Taxwise

following error message when using your TaxWise software: Cannot create or initialize data file. Class not registered. Right-click the Start button, and then click Explore. Navigate to the drive on which TaxWise was installed, and then open the UTSxx folder (where xx is the tax year of your program). Open the TWTech folder (or IPTech for InterviewPLUS), and then double-click the Setup.exe file. If this also does not solve the problem, your computer may not have necessary Windows ODBC components installed. If you do not see ODBC Data Source on your Control Panel (click the Start button, then point to Settings and double-click Control Panel), you should download and install the appropriate Microsoft MDAC update for your operating system. Go to: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6c050fe3-c795-4b7d-b037-185d0506396c&DisplayLang=en Note: The Visual FoxPro driver is not automatically installed with MDAC 2.8. If you need to get the driver manually, go to: http://download.microsoft.com/download/vfoxodbcdriver/Install/6.1/W9XNT4/EN-US/VFPODBC.msi After updating these operating system components, you may need to run the workstation Setup program again. See the To run Setup procedure above for instructions. Was this answer helpful? Yes No Your rating has been submitted, please tell us how we can make this answer more useful.
