4700 Error 60.02

about 0.5 second intervals. Reducing to 1/2 or less or 100\% full still gives a couple clunks, but it will lift and be ready to print.Paper load indicator looks good, gears on tray look good, inside printer the gear springs seem to center the lifter ok (I don't know what's normal or abnormal though).I can't get an error code now - it seems to always lift eventually with various paper loads, but does anyone know what's *going* wrong before I have a completely non-functional printer? Thanks in advance! It was causing 60.02 error codes. I replaced the lifter drive assembly p/n RM1-1750Good luck! by Anonymous on Feb 20, 2008 at 10:36am Add comment Please sign in to comment I know this is of no use to you now given the date, but I wanted to record a solution I found, just in case anyone else stumbles across it. Not seeing any damage to the tray or its lift mechanism, I replaced the lift motor with no change in symptoms. I found my solution at the following website:http://h30499.www3.hp.comThe printer was located on a sheet metal cabinet. Over the years the cabinet bowed in the center of its top and was putting pressure on tray 2 causing the symptoms you described. I moved it to a more solid flat surface and the symptoms disappeared. - besamtu Please sign in to comment HP Color LaserJet 4700 Buy discount ink Buy this printer More HP questions © Copyright 2011-2016, FixYourOwnPrinter.com, Inc. Am I possibly missing something to do with the sensor flags? They move freely and appear to be in their correct positions and alignment, but I could be mistaken. Posts 725 Well, a 60 error is'nt in my manual, but it may be close to a DC issue. Did you do a few NVRAm Init's to sync up the formatter and DC? With all you replaced and it still clacks, could be just a toner gone bad. Is the MP trying to pick up too? It may be the issue. You decide if it might apply to your situation: "60.02" error message. Tray #2 lifter motor not functioning. The lift motor is supposed to float freely on a central swivel. This one was bound up due to malformation of the plastic mounts. Remove the outer plastic bushing and with a rat tail file oval out the bore (in this case downward) to allow the lift motor to float on its spring loading. That's all I've got, and no particular memory of the situation. =^..^= If you'd like a serious answer to your request: 1) demonstrate that you've read the manual 2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it. 3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code. 4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code. blackcat: Master Of The Obvious =^..^= Reply With Quote 08-08-2013 #3 Mita-Konica-Tech View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message Trusted Te
