4d Error 10033
♦ ♦ | Report Content as Inappropriate ♦ ♦ What causes 4D Client disconnect with -10033 error? Hi Everyone, I have some users who are using 4D Client v2004.6 on Windows who are frequently getting -10033 errors. Others on the same network almost never see this. Per the docs, the description of this error is "Incorrect data size during read cycle". This causes a disconnect, sometimes 6-8 times a day for some users. Anyone have any ideas on how to diagnose and cure this situation? entier contient un numéro d'erreur que la commande doit retourner à la base de données 4D. 10001unimplemented Internet command. 10002invalid array type. 10003no more (TCP,SMTP,POP3, etc. ) references available. 10004invalid reference. 10005need a "Host" for use in the "SMTP_Send" command. 10006need a "From" for use in the "SMTP_Send" command. 10007need a http://www.4d.com/docs/CMF/CMF88906.HTM recipient for use in the "SMTP_Send" command. 10008already logged in. 10009error trying to make a POP3 connection. 10010error with POP3 USER. 10011error with POP3 PASS. 10012error with POP3 QUIT. 10013error with POP3 STAT. 10014error with POP3 LIST. 10015error with POP3 UIDL. 10016error with POP3 DELE. 10017error with POP3 RSET. 10018invalid message number. 10019invalid character offset. 10020invalid character length. 10021error with POP3 RETR. 10022field was not found in mail Header. 10023no attachments found. 10024error in processing BinHex. 10025BinHex checksum error. 10026Internet commands unavailable. Newsgroups: gmane.comp.lang.inug-4d.tech Date: Tuesday 8th January 2008 23:40:45 UTC (over 8 years ago) Hi Mike, > So, my "thinking" is we http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lang.inug-4d.tech/69369 had some OTHER problem in the way (not code, > but perhaps memory or something). I honestly would have never > thought to replace the server machine (or http://successware.helpserve.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/31/0/error-codes-successware-internal-codes a part thereof) and it took > a hardware crash to cure a software crash. I had some recent experience although not exactly the same. While working in 4d error an App we would make changes to data and then the data wasn't apparently being saving - although the trigger indicated it was - and when we would try to display this data in hList the hList would randomly appear as uninitialized or greyed out or sometimes with the data and often without. I spent over 40 4d error 10033 hours trying different things. On a whim we decided to move the 4D Server 2004 to a different machine and viola the problems cleared up. It never crashed but the data was getting lost. The IT guy said it was a bad motherboard - whatever that meant. I suspect it was network card related. If 4D Server would've somehow let me know that it wasn't really getting the data, or would've crashed, or something, it would've saved me a lot of time. Although 4D Server wasn't the problem. I have another one we're dealing with now where the workstation running 4D Client will suddenly and inexplicably freeze. It requires a hard reboot with the cord disconnected. And it's only on a particular kind of computer in the office. I think it also netwrok related but there are few clues I can find or try to diagnose?
