4d Error 9939
view ♦ ♦ | Report Content as Inappropriate ♦ ♦ Error -9939 with plugin called in 4D compiled mode 4D SDK : 2004.5 MacOSX : 10.4.8 PPC Xcode : 2.4.1 PPC Hello I have migrated my 4D plugin from 4D 2004.0 SDK to 4D 2004.5 SDK and added two additional functions with the 4D plugin wizard. The plugin compiles without any error under Xcode 2.4.1 and runs perfect (all function calls and returns) in a test 4D structure in interpreted mode under 4D 2004.5. The test 4D structure compiles also without any error and warnings (explicit typing). When running the same test 4D structure in compiled mode, every call to the functions of the plugin evokes the error -9939 (external routine is not found) and the plugin call fails. In the new added function I made use of cocoa/objective-c classes and methods of the foundation framework - the plugin is compiled with the objective-c compiler - has this any influence to the plugin calls under 4D compiled mode? I would appreciate any hint how to resolve the problem. Many thanks in advance and with best regards, AndrĂ© ********************************************************************** 4D Plugins hosted by 4D, Inc. http://www.4D.com/ 4th Dimension 2004 - Design, Develop and Deliver Powerful Database Applications http://www.4D.com/2004 To Unsubscribe: mailto:[hidden email] *********************************************************************** Rob Laveaux Reply | Threaded Open this post in threaded view ♦ ♦ | Report Content as Inappropriate ♦ ♦ Re: Error -9939 with plugin called in 4D compiled mode On 15-feb-2007, at 22:04, Andre Mueller wrote: > I have migrated my 4D plugin from 4D 2004.0 SDK to 4D 2004.5 SDK > and added two additional functions with the 4D plugin wizard. to have full access to this article!!! Log In -9939 error. What does this error message mean? Can you help?I compiled a program for a client under 6.0.5, and he gets the message as described.Resolution:When http://4d.1045681.n5.nabble.com/Error-9939-with-plugin-called-in-4D-compiled-mode-td1412918.html you are executing code from within 4D, and get the -9939 error, this usually means that something went wrong with the installation of the plug-in. Like I stated in my previous email, there is no straight forward answer http://kb.4d.com/search/assetid=3092 of why this could be happening. Possible things to look and check for are:1. Make sure the plug-in is in its correct folder. Since you are going cross-platform, make sure you have the Mac and PC versions of the plug-in.2. Make sure that the plug-ins are named correctly. 3. Make sure that all the plug-ins that are needed are installed. If you are missing a plug-in that is being called, this error message will appear, because it is being called, but can not find the plug-in.It was also stated: "The resource cache file cannot be created."Take a look at this tech tip, it could possibly help your situation: http://www.acius.com/tech%5Ftips/tips99%2D192.html
