arianet 8 Posts 500 - Internal server error when accessing *.MDB database Feb 10, 2011 06:49 PM|arianet|LINK Hello all! I am completely out of ideas. Let's start with the problem: I have a simple asp (not .NET) login page, it connects to a database, and authenticates: Here is the code: http://www.asp101.com/samples/download/login_db.zip http://www.asp101.com/samples/login.asp it's the 500 internal server error youtube database-connected version The page loads okay when I start it, but when I try to submit, I get the internal server error 500. I have reinstalled II7. The OS that I am using is Server 2008 R2. I've added the IUSR (the IIS user), i've even used an alternate user account with full permissions to the file for authentication, however nothing seems to work. I am able to access the page both locally and remotely, I have the IP bindings set. I am out of ideas. Any help is appreciated! Thanks! with accessing mdb databases, when my ASP tries to access it, I get the 500 internal server error. The advantages of this script are ' that it's more secure than if you hard-coded the ' username/password values directly in the script, and ' that you can change the username and password simply by ' changing the values in your login_table. ' ' NOTE: BE SURE TO EITHER MOVE THE INCLUDED SAMPLE ' DATABASE TO A SECURE AREA OUTSIDE THE WEB SITE OR ' USE A DIFFERENT SECURE DATABASE. OTHERWISE ANYONE ' CAN SIMPLY DOWNLOAD THE WHOLE DB AND RETREIVE YOUR ' USERNAME AND PASSWORD FROM IT.
