502 Proxy Error Reason Error Reading From Remote Server
Joined: 23.Jul.2003 From: Ithaca, NY Status: offline I am receiving the following error message from ISA 2006 Std SP1 on Server 2003 SP2. Explanation: There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed. Technical Information Error Code: 502 Proxy Error. Not enough storage is available to complete this operation. (14) IP Address: 209.18.36.72 502 proxy error openshift Date: 1/19 thru 2/19 Server: AMC3.ALL-MODE.LOCAL Source: web filter We are seeing this meesage more and more now. I thought it was a cache issue, so I increased the ISA cache to 10 Gig. But no help. Then I tried restarting the Firewall service and thatdid the trick for a while. But the message would come back in a day. Now I have the Firewall service restarted every day at 5:30 am. But still get the message some days. The last was for one of the owners doing a download. Now I have some heat to getting it fixed. All of this started after I published Exchange 2003 with OWA access and RPC/HTTP as per Tom's article. any help is greatly appreicated. Though this errors clearly says "Not enough storage.." you may still see enough available RAM and good amount of free space on the hard drive, on that problemcomputer. So why does it still say "Not enough storage is available to complete this operation"? What I understood from this error was that a RESTRICTED amount of MEMORY allocated for particular type of OS RESOURCE, has got EXHAUSTED. In both the cases above, the resource type that was getting exhausted or causing other resources to be exhausted was a HANDLE. A Handle is an OS object used to get a reference of another object (like File, registry, port etc.). It’s using these handles that a process will work with open files, read registry keys or work with a network port. In both the above scenarios, we saw a process (Non-Microsoft) consuming large amount of Handles. You can view the handles owned by different processes through "Task Manager" in Windows. In the "Task Manager", under the Process tab you can add an additional column to displa

Either the protocol is not supported or the request was not typed correctly. Confirm that a valid protocol is in use (for example, HTTP for a Web request) I could not get any proper information about this error and why it would occur. 502 proxy error Now it's important to understand that this could not be a configuration problem, the server is actually running and working and continued to work after restarting ISA. what I saw is that before the errors started to rise, the ISA server was restarted but it seems that it simply did not load properly. I'm getting a very bad mixture of messages in the Application event log right after it loaded and started having the problem: Event Type: Error Event Source: Microsoft Firewall Event Category: None Event ID: 14018 Date: 26/08/2010 Time: 02:12:09 User: N/A Computer: PROXY5 Description: ISA Server failed to load the firewall policy configuration.
