First off, the screen is just unnecessary (or at least the pop-up variety), but that's not my problem. I opened a brand new box for one of our users and after I removed all the orange shipping bits, I plug it in and go for the configuration page. The motor whirrs, then BLOOP! Up pops a message on the https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/337507-fresh-hplj400-receives-52-scanner-error-however-this-isn-t-a-mfp friendly screen: "52 Scanner Error" - Everything I look up online says "your scanner motor is not working, probably needs a replacement." When I look in the manual, the expected error codes you will experience start at 49, 50, 51, 53, 54...why no 52? THIS IS NOT A MFP, there is NO scanner. I performed a firmware update, to no avail. Same error. This comes up every time I attempt to print any configuration reports...or anything relating to actually printing a page. WUT. Anyone else deal with this? We have a number of these that will be deployed to our new facility, so I'm not excited to work with them firsthand in any larger capacity.
