Sometimes a 60.02 error is displayed. Here is how I found my solution. I took the cover off the power switch side to see what was happening.
Hp 4250 Lifter Motor
I saw that after the tray is closed, the tray sometimes moves up over the gear that turns to raise the paper in place. That is the source of the KLUNKing noise!I thought:"How can I stop this from happening?" I drilled a small hole through a metal plate and placed a screw that rests just above a plastic part that should have stopped the tray from rising. That 60.02 error hp 9050 did the trick! No more KLUNKS. No more 60.02 errors!I took photos but I don't see how to post them here. I will forward them to you if you wish. by istech on May 22, 2008 at 8:03am Add comment Please sign in to comment Bad repair or incorrect info the 60 error would be a lifter motor error.should indicate the tray 2 lifter motor.it would be down on the lower right side.there is a spring that holds tension on top of it.if this comes off,it can cause issues.try switch trays and see if it still comes up.and make sure that tray is fully seated into place.to see the spring ,you would have to take off the right side cover, and i believe the top cover in order to get the right side cover off.could just be an issue with the lifter motor itself. - alam2020 yes my dear i'm also facing the same problem, could u pls help me to give me details i mean poto inst guidethanksnazrul - Anonymous I am using the new 4250 printer 60.02 Error error here appears online I see you also like my error, but no images to follow, please send your pictures do the steps to

Posts 725 Well, a 60 error is'nt in my manual, but it may be close to a DC issue. Did you do a few NVRAm Init's to sync up the formatter and DC? With all you replaced and it still clacks, could be just a toner gone bad. Is the MP trying to pick up too? It may be the issue.
