the paper tray lifting portion of POST. You can see the paper lifting in the tray by observing from the rear of the printer.
Hp 4250 Lifter Motor
Very shortly afterwards, the printer starts making a loud banging noise from the hp p4015 printer 60.02 error area of the lifter motor assy and you can watch it move back and forth as the printer bangs.I replaced

the lifter assy and still does the same thing. I reconnected the old one without mounting it and you can see the motor turning as it attempts to lift the paper. Remember, this http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Inkjet-Printing/60-02-Error/td-p/5044277 is happening without the assy being in the printer. No Banging but still getting error 60.02.The question I have concerns a lever just forward of the lifter in the paper tray guide itself. On a 4250, it is spring loaded. The P4015 I am working on does not have a spring loaded lever. I removed the paper pick up drive assy so I could see if http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/77348 there were any broken parts and also to remove the forward tray guide which contains this lever. No broken parts that I could tell but on the lever in question, you can tell there is supposed to be a spring and there is a spring on the axle that looks like a 6 or 9 without an opposing tail to cause it to spring back. The illustration for the guide in the manual does not show a spring.Moe or dmzcompute - either one of you familiar with what I am looking at? It seems to me that this lever may be the keey to the banging. Respond to this 0 the white plastic lever IS spring loaded. by eric111 on Nov 14, 2014 at 12:03pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Make sure the backstop in the tray itself is positioned correctly. If to far forward it prevents the tray from lifting all the way and can cause that knocking noise. If that is not it, then the white gear on the right side of the paper tray is probably bad. by dmzcompute on Nov 14, 2014 at 3:01pm Add comment Please sign in to comm

Am I possibly missing something to do with the sensor flags? They move freely and appear to be in their correct positions 60.02 error hp and alignment, but I could be mistaken. Posts 725 Well, a 60 error is'nt in my manual, but it may be close to a DC issue. Did you do a few NVRAm Init's to sync up the formatter and DC? With all you replaced and it still clacks, could be just a toner gone bad. Is the MP trying to pick up too? It may be the issue. You have done everything that the service manual says to do and more. Is the tray actually lifting? I'll hand this one off to Big Al Reply With Quote 01-13-2011,10:43 AM #4 Big Al View Profile View Forum Posts View Blog Entries View Articles Senior Member Join Date Apr 2008 Location Winchester Virginia Posts 520 I'm going way out on a limb here. Sometimes we get machines that someone tried to overload the tray with too much paper then slammed it back in the printer. We get broken drive shafts that turn the "D" roller so no paper gets picked up. This might make a clacking

You decide if it might apply to your situation: "60.02" error message. Tray #2 lifter motor not functioning. The lift motor is supposed to float freely on a central swivel. This one was bound up due to malformation of the plastic mounts. Remove the outer plastic bushing and with a rat tail file oval out the bore (in this case downward) to allow the lift motor to float on its spring loading. That's all I've got, and no particular memory of the situation. =^..^= If you'd like a serious answer to your request: 1) demonstrate that you've read the manual 2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it. 3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code. 4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error c
