I'm not sure how to interpret it but it looks like something wrong with my dvd-rom. Last week I had to reformat my HD and reinstall everything. I can no longer back up my DVDs and I keep getting the same http://forum.my.nero.com/index.php?showtopic=8689 error. This error happens whether I use DVD Shrink or Nero. Once encoding is finished I get an Unspecified Recorder Error and the process halts. I have read many threads and have checked many settings on my computer. DMA is set correctly, I have the newest Firmware, and I even uninstalled and reinstalled Shrink since I read that Shrink had to be installed after Nero.
