Typing my user/pass https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/26242282/Cache-access-denied.html didn't work (in IE) Finally today I was given access to the web and by entering my user/pass in IE I'm up and running. I then installed firefox and google chrome but they don't seem to be access denied working. There is no box asking for my login details. I also tried to run the update for java but that didn't work either. Seems that only IE knows the settings and everything else still is denied... I asked my boss for help but she said 'whats wrong with using IE' and wouldn't ask for help. Can anyone help. Which settings need configuring??? Thanks benish, Aug 28, 2012 #1 Sponsor baybeejayy21 Joined: cache access denied Aug 27, 2012 Messages: 9 Open IE and click tools/internet options/Connections/LAN settings button and uncheck Proxy Server and leave all feilds empty. Close IE and reopen. If that doesnt work check the box Auto detect settings. Close IE and reopen. baybeejayy21, Aug 28, 2012 #2 valis Moderator Joined: Sep 24, 2004 Messages: 70,810 better yet, just ask your IT department to configure those browsers for you. I can't be arsed logging it with IT, its a long process and takes weeks for a response unless escalated... and they will probs just tell me to get a grip and stick with IE! haha Hipefully changing these settings baybeejay says won't screw up my access rights, otherwise its a long wait! benish, Aug 28, 2012 #4 valis Moderator Joined: Sep 24, 2004 Messages: 70,810 well, I can tell you, we really can't assist with bypassing work restrictions.......regardless of how long it takes. I work in IT, and I have indeed seen people let go for unauthorized internet access; we put those restrictio

I dont think it is browser setup! It looks like there are still some infected files trying to control your internet and that trojan is having problem when trying to do its job (since you tried to remove it, some missing files/corrupted files) try different AV to identify it and remove it... 0 Message Expert Comment by:rnapro2010-06-09 I have a system doing the same thing.
