I had a working web application and everything was running fine. After configuring a few sites in my web application I started getting emails from other users of the site saying that they were getting Access Denied errors whenever they tried to access the root site collection (ex. https://sharepoint2013/). In the "Web Location" field I'm entering the url to a Sharepoint 2013 site to which i have "full control" access. I'm getting the following error: I've enabled the "SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Collection features" under site settings and site collection settings. (Description of the feature: Features such as InfoPath Forms Services, Visio Services, access denied website Access Services, and Excel Services Application, included in the SharePoint Server Enterprise License.) What am i missing? Why the access denied error? database ms-access sharepoint-2013 ms-access-2013 share|improve this question asked Aug 12 '15 at 12:58 AndroidMechanic 8,86562260 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote As a workaround, I created a blank web database on Access 2010 and published to sharepoint. It went through and was deployed. Then opened the same database in Access 2013 from sharepoint and was able to work on it and re-deploy without any problems. share|improve this answer answered Aug 17 '15 at 6:07 AndroidMechanic 8,86562260 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. In central admin i am primary administrator of the web app, i can connect to it using sharepoint designer and edit files and save them. Just when i try to browse to the site i keep getting Access Denied. Edit: How i created the site In central admin i created a new web application (i was added as primary admin), than create a site collection (added as site collection admin), than reset iis, and went to access the site. I get access denied. However if i try to goto /_layouts/settings.aspx i have access to that, but when i click on some links there i get access denied. Going to the Users and Groups persmissions i am apart of the Site Owners group. sharepoint wss share|improve this question edited Oct 15 '09 at 13:16 Nick Kavadias 9,74372743 asked Jul 29 '09 at 12:01 chicken 15417 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote Are you using the browser directly on the server and getting a 401.1 error? If so, it's probably due to the Loopback Adapter issue. More information and possible workarounds are here: You receive error 401.1 when you browse a Web site that uses Integrated Authentication and is hosted on IIS 5.1 or IIS 6 share|improve this answer answered Jul 30 '09 at 4:06 Brian Meinertz 1964 that is not the problem unfortunately. –chicken Jul 30 '09 at 12:23 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote I am having the same issue. Creating a new SSP / web application / site collection, but can get in with any account. I can also get directly in to /_layouts/settings.aspx and can even create new sites, but can't access them .. share|improve this answer answered Oct 15 '09 at 13:13 me Not exactly sure how I fixed the problem. I'm thinking it had something to do with the application pool / SSP service credentials, but I'm not sure. –me Oct 15 '09 at 14:15 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Si
