Chrome Access Denied You Don't Have Permission To Access
Messages: 7 Hi, i've just joined a new company, and for weeks when trying to use the web I got
Access To The Webpage Was Denied
the error of cache access denied. Typing my user/pass didn't work (in IE) Finally today I was given access to the web and by entering my user/pass in IE I'm up and running. https://productforums.google.com/forum/m/#!msg/chrome/0TpB4Jj1t9g/18FBI-SppewJ I then installed firefox and google chrome but they don't seem to be working. There is no box asking for my login details. I also tried to run the update for java but that didn't work either. Seems that only IE knows the settings and everything else still is denied... I asked my boss for help but she said 'whats wrong with using IE' and wouldn't ask for https://forums.techguy.org/threads/cache-access-denied.1066840/ help. Can anyone help. Which settings need configuring??? Thanks benish, Aug 28, 2012 #1 Sponsor baybeejayy21 Joined: Aug 27, 2012 Messages: 9 Open IE and click tools/internet options/Connections/LAN settings button and uncheck Proxy Server and leave all feilds empty. Close IE and reopen. If that doesnt work check the box Auto detect settings. Close IE and reopen. baybeejayy21, Aug 28, 2012 #2 valis Moderator Joined: Sep 24, 2004 Messages: 70,848 better yet, just ask your IT department to configure those browsers for you. We generally can't assist on work-related rigs. Where I work, IE is the only browser allowed; it could easily be the same for your workplace. valis, Aug 28, 2012 #3 benish Thread Starter Joined: Dec 10, 2010 Messages: 7 Thanks guys Ill try this out tomorrow. I can't be arsed logging it with IT, its a long process and takes weeks for a response unless escalated... and they will probs just tell me to get a grip and stick with IE! haha Hipefully changing these settings baybeejay says won't screw up my access rights, otherwise its a long wait! benish, Aug 28, 2012 #4 valis Moderator Joined: Sep 24, 2004 Messages: 70,848
