Error Codes O9xnzmxb In Obiee
Contents |
2014 by kanteeban In one of my project, I created a new user in the OBIEE 11g application to check the security access privileges. I have associated o9xnzmxb access denied for user to path the new user to one of the existing security role. As per obiee 11g access denied for user to path /shared the security design, the user is supposed to see the existing dashboard page. But when he tries to access denied for user to path view the dashboard page he got the error message of "Access denied for user to path /shared/…/_portal/…/.." with the error code of: ‘O9XNZMXB'. After reading through some of the
Access Denied For User To Path /users/ In Obiee 11g
OBIEE blogs, I tried updating Instanceconfig.xml and nqsconfig configuration files and restarted the OMPN services this leads to stopping of OBIEE presentation service. Finally I revert back those configuration files to its original state. Then, I manually updated the OBIEE object permissions using the catalog manager; it helped me to resolve the issue. Let me share you a sample scenario of the issue and its solution in detail below. Consider a new user ‘TestAccount' wants to access the dashboard page named ‘CR'. The ‘CR' dashboard page and its associated reports along with filters are stored in the master shared folder named ‘Dummy Folder'. All these three objects should have read and traverse permissions for the user to view the Dashboard. Also make sure the dashboard layout object is also given with read and execute access. If we set the user with read access only to master folder but not to the dashboard object then the user could end up with above mentioned error message, when he opens CR dashboard page Before making the permission change: Open the catalog manager and navigate to the master shared folders path. Then move to the Dummy folder. Now right click the dummy folder and check the permissions. Now include the ‘TestAccount' user to have read and traverse permissions. Also include the apply recursively option this option will make the permission change to all objects including d
catalog security situation, and while looking for solution stumbled into this bug. I think it's important, because the error message is confusing and it's really hard to troubleshoot this sort of problem. Catalog Manager copy/paste removes correct permissions on Users subfolders, causes error "access denied for user to path.." at OBI login Applies to: Business Intelligence Server Administrator - Version: 10.1.3.2 to 10.1.3.4.0 [1900] - Release: 10g to 10g In OBIEE 10.1.3.4, users are copied from one web catalog A (TEST environment) https://oasisbiee.wordpress.com/2014/05/19/solution-for-o9xnzmxb-issue-in-obiee-11g-answers-and-dashboards/ to another web catalog B (PRODUCTION Environment), using the Catalog Manager. After loading the new web catalog B, users are unable to login into OBI and see the following error: access denied for user to path /users/…/_portal/dashboard layout. Error Details Error Codes: O9XNZMXB Cause In the Catalog Manager, when copying users in the catalog manager, permissions are not copied. The http://obiee-blog.info/administration-tool/error-access-denied-for-user-to-path/ users are part of the system folder (i.e Catalog Manager > Users > Properties > Owner Account = System Account) , which is why Catalog Manager does not transfer the permissions. The behavior was reproduced with 2 copies of Paint web catalog A and B. Note: Before copying from Web Catalog A, here are the privileges for a) Users folder - Owner - System Account Explicit Permission - Presentation server Administrator(full), Everyone(Traverse) b) Users > Paint Folder - Owner - System Account Explicit Permission - Paint (change/delete) c). Users > Paint > _portal folder - Owner - paint Explicit Permission - paint (change/delete) After pasting user folder in web catalog B, here are the permissions: Note how the properties and permissions changed after pasting the user to the following: a) Users > Paint Folder - Owner - System Account Explicit Permission - Presentation server Administrator(full), Everyone(Traverse) b). Users > Paint Folder - Owner - System Account Explicit Permission - Presentation server Administrator(full), Everyone(Traverse) Solution The following has been raised to address a product enhancement request: BUG 8316638 CO
directly link to its associated dimensions. Instead, it may require an intervening bridging table to link to the dimensions, via surrogate keys. How should this be designed in the OBIEE repository? Solution: A classic example of this issue is encountered when http://codeit.com.au/category/obiee-11g/ attempting to model E-Business Suite tables, where dimensions such as Entity and Business Unit are set up to link to the GL Balances table via the GL Code Combination table. In this scenario, the Entity and Business Unit dimensions are set up https://blog.daanalytics.nl/tag/my-oracle-support/page/3/ as views made up from the flex field tables. These views are linked to the SEGMENT1 and SEGMENT2 fields of the GL_CODE_COMBINATION table respectively. In turn, the GL_BALANCES table is linked to the GL_CODE_COMBINATION table via the CODE_COMBINATION_ID field. The Time access denied dimension, on the other hand, is linked directly to the GL_BALANCES table via the PERIOD_NAME field. The physical layer in the repository will therefore look something like this. When defining the joins of these logical tables in the Business Model and Mapping Layer, we could just replicate what we have done in the Physical Layer. ie: But if we do it this way, we will encounter the following warnings when checking for consistency: Business Model EBS: [39008] Logical dimension table Dim Entity access denied for has a source Dim Entity that does not join to any fact source. [39008] Logical dimension table Dim Business Unit has a source Dim Business Unit that does not join to any fact source. These warnings arise because the GL Code Combination table is not seen as a Fact table - an ultimate data source. To fix this we need to divide the logical layer into two separate star schemas: 1. Where a first alias of the GL Code Combination table is the ‘dimension' of the GL Balances fact table in the first star schema. 2. The Dim Entity and Dim Business Unit tables are the dimensions of a second alias of the GL Code Combination table in the second star schema. As can be seen in the screen-shot of the Business Model and mapping Layer above, there are 2 aliases of the GL Code Combination table: Bridge GL Code Combinations, and GL Code Combinations which take part in two separate star schemas. In the Presentation Layer we leave out the two aliases of the GL Code Combination table so that the users only see the fact and dimension tables. The logical joins will be made by the BI Server in the background. For Example: Note: In the example above I have added a couple of other dimensions as well. These link to the remaining SEGMENT
