[10 Mar 2008 19:16] Miguel Solorzano Thank you for your interest in the MySQL graphical administration tools. We recommend that you use our MySQL Administrator and MySQL Query Browser. The MySQLGUI and MySQL Command Center legacy products are deprecated, and we are no longer maintaining those projects. For more information on MySQL Administrator, see: http://www.mysql.com/products/administrator/ [7 Apr 2008 6:35] John Mort Does exactly the same for me !! John [27 Jun 2008 18:25] Andre Doles The error only starts after you launch the WinMySQLadmin for the first time and create a password. Immediately after setting a password, the boxes repeatedly start popping up. Once you launch the WinMySQLadmin, click the my.ini Setup file and remove the username/password lines that were created, click Save Modification... and the errors magically stop as soon as you click the button. [20 Aug 2008 4:57] David Bevins Same problem. Removing user/pass from ini makes it go away, but then you have not logon info stored. I'm looking for another tool to replace this one but would be nice if the xampp package had everything solid. (just select or activate the windows you are working on if the error message keeps popping up in front of the windows you are working on.) 1. Click the XAMPP Control Panel to run the application. 2. On the XAMPP Control Panel, click the https://tekhak.wordpress.com/2008/10/19/access-violation-at-address-10009f40-in-module-libmysqldll/ "Start" button to run MySql. 3. Click the "Admin" button of MySql. 4. Click the WinMySQLadmin (traffic light) icon on the right side of the task bar, then choose "Show me". 5. Click the "my.ini Setup" tab. 6. In the my.ini Setup text box, delete the ‘password' entry so that the entry will look like this: user=root password= 7. Click the "Save Modification" button. The error messages should stop after that. You can now close all open error messages displayed on your screen or you might as well restart your computer to refresh everything. MySQL error message The error message reads: "Access violation at access violation address 10009F40 in module ‘LIBMYSQL.dll'. Read of address 00000000." If I didn't close the message, a new pop up would arrive slightly lower and to the right of the first error message. This would go on until it reached the bottom of the screen and started migrating to the lower right corner. In order to correct this, access violation libmysql.dll we need to get into the MySQL service administration tool. If the service is running (which it is, since these error messages are popping up), there should be a little stop light icon in the System Tray (bottom right hand corner). Right click on the Stop light to get this menu and click on ‘Show me'. MySQL service right-click menu The MySQL admin window will pop-up as a result. Click on the my.ini Setup tab and your window should look a bit like this: (username and password values may vary) Either delete or comment out the ‘user' and ‘password' lines. You can comment out the lines by simply putting the pound (#) character at the front of the line. As soon as you have done that, click the ‘Save Modification' button. As soon as you press that button the error messages should stop appearing like magic.
