The install appears to be successful, but I always get the following message in Distiller when I try to Save as PDF: Error in PDFX4 2007.joboptions: /CheckCompliance out of range Printing to PDF does not work either. I have Adobe Acrobat 8 installed and am able to create PDFs from other applications. I also have InDesign CS3 and for awhile thought that might be the problem. Has anyone run into this and have any ideas? Thanks. 4300Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 12 replies 1. If it's not a rev that was released after Acrobat 8, FrameMaker won't see the current valid job options because the default location for the job options changed. You can fix this by copying the new job options to the old default folder instead of the new one Adobe Distiller uses (see http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/333453.html in the Adobe Support database). I think putting a shortcut from the old location to the new one woul

Later I installed Acrobat Pro 9, which made me to uninstall Frame Maker's Distiller 7 and installed Acrobat Pro’s Distiller 9. Both Frame Maker and Acrobat Pro were working fine. Suddenly the Acrobat Distiller 9 started giving problem. I couldn't print a PDF from Frame Maker. I tried opening https://forums.adobe.com/thread/315672 the Acrobat distiller from the Start menu. It opens and just closes, but doesn't stay for long. I uninstalled Acrobat Pro 9 and installed Frame Maker's Distiller 7, and then it worked fine. But the problem started again when I again installed the Acrobat Pro 9. What should I do to overcome this problem? Is there any way https://acrobatusers.com/forum/deployment-installation/acrobat-distiller-9-crashes/ where I can keep Frame Maker's Distiller being overwritten by Acrobat Pro's Distiller? Please guide me in this. Jon Jon Bessant Guest July 21st,12:42 AM #3 Re: Distiller 9 Error Message Jon, I have the CS3.3 Master Collection on the Mac, hence Acrobat Pro 9 on the Mac and the TCS 1.3 under Windows and therefore Acrobat 9 Extended on Windows. The Distiller with the error message and the joboptions file are on the Mac. The Windows version of Acrobat didn't have the joboptions file, hence didn't have the error message.
