Error "...turn OFF the option 'Do not send fonts to Distiller'..." occurs when you export to PDF (PageMaker 7.0 for Windows 2000 or NT) Issue When you try to export to Adobe PDF from Adobe PageMaker 7.x for Windows 2000 or NT, PageMaker returns the error "When you create a PostScript file you have to send the host fonts. Please go to the Adobe Acrobat Distiller printer properties, 'Adobe PDF Settings' page and turn OFF the option 'Do not send fonts to Distiller.'" Detail When you click OK in the error dialog box, PageMaker returns two additional errors: "Saving the PostScript output failed" and "Could not print to the PostScript file." Solutions Do one of the following: Solution 1: Install PageMaker 7.0.1 , and then install PageMaker 7.0.1a. You can download the free PageMaker 7.0.1 and 7.01a update s from the Adobe w ebsite at www.adobe.com/support/downloads/main.html . Note: You must install PageMaker 7.0.1 before you can install PageMaker 7.0.1a. Solution 2: Deselect the Do Not Send Fonts to Distiller print property. Before exporting to PDF, change the print properties for Acrobat Distiller so that Do Not Send Fonts to Distiller is deselected. Note: In Windows

It could be a corrupt graphic/font. Possible solutions: Try opening all the graphics from your page using the application used to create them and simply pagemaker 7 error resave the files. Then update the links in the page and try printing again. Also replace all fonts used in the document on your system and/or the RIP by a fresh copy from the original disks.
