Outlook Web Access Activex Control
IT Pro Discussions Question 0 Sign in to vote I'm currently using Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 activex control error message (11.5608.5606). When I try and open emails from specific users I get the following message:
One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayedActivex Control Error Internet Explorer
because either: 1. Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX control on this page, or 2. You have blocked a publisher of one of the controls. As a result, the page might not display correctly. And then you click OK. Once I click OK the Signature of the person who activex control error excel sent the message appears. Does anyone know how to "fix" it so that I don't get this message each time I open an email from this person? thanks Wednesday, August 15, 2012 6:02 PM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Hi Chandra, The message you got is to help protect you from viruses that might be contained in HTML-format and RTF-format messages, both scripts and ActiveX controls contained in these kinds of messages are deactivated automatically. Currently we are not able to enable the ActiveX controls for designated sender. If you want to enable the ActiveX controls, you'll have to enable it for all emails you got which is not recommended for security consideration. do I get an Active-X error when I create a new mail with a signature? The message suggests that security doesn't allow the Active-X control. If I click past the error, the signature appears but with a strange mark above

After switching it, the user reports no further problems...I don't see the same setting in 2003. I recall changing a security setting within Outlook as well as setting the IE security settings to default. I also deleted temp files and changed the Advanced settings back to default within IE. Hope
