Re: Captiva eInput PDI ActiveX not getting installed Franklin Poole Dec 21, 2010 8:30 AM (in response to Neil_Harwani) In the eInput.war file folder is where you'll find the pdi.cab file. On the server where eInput is running, you'll find the cab file here:C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 6.0\webapps\eInput\activexYou can unzip that file and then run the setup.exe to manually install the ActiveX. We do that on a regular basis. Report Abuse Like Show 0 Likes (0) Actions More Like This Retrieving data ... Dell Technologies© 2016 EMC Corporation. "Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/unable-to-download-run-activex-controls.728613/ As a result, the page may not display correctly". I'm running IE6, WinXP SP1. I do not have a domain controller. Here's what I've tried: Verified that the security settings in ALL zones (Tools/Internet Options/Security) are set to: Download signed ActiveX controls (prompt or enable) Download unsigned ActiveX controls (prompt) Initialize...not marked activex control as safe (prompt) Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins (enable) Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting (enable) I've also tried adding the URL of the site to the "Trusted sites" zone all with no luck. This occurs on several URLs including Windows Update, the Macromedia shockwave site. Pretty much any site that uses failed to load ActiveX. I'm configured to use only the local machine settings for the security zones, in other words: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Security_HKLM_Only is set to 1. I don't think I have any other group policies in effect. I've also tried reregistering a bunch of the crypto DLLs, i.e. regsvr32 softpub.dll regsvr32 wintrust.dll regsvr32 initpki.dll regsvr32 dssenh.dll regsvr32 rsaenh.dll regsvr32 gpkcsp.dll regsvr32 sccbase.dll regsvr32 slbcsp.dll regsvr32 cryptdlg.dll regsvr32 softpub.dll SSL works fine so I don't think it's a problem with the crypto libs. Any ideas? Anyone? Thanks! John S John S, Oct 5, 2004 #1 Advertisements Jan Il Guest Hi John Try setting your Security to Med or Low and see if that helps: or........ If you have McAfee: disable the McAfee ActiveX controls Applet filters in the Internet Filter window when you select Customize your VShield settings or.........
