I've never tried it either. If it won't register than it's some IE 9 security issue likely but also likely a dependency issue.What errors did you get when trying to manually register the dll's? Typically if you get a 1904 error it means you are missing dependencies and likely the VS 2005 C++ runtime and Security distribution package.
