When I click to install I get an error "Internal Error 2739. Contact Customer Support." I have been on the phone with customer support twice today with the same tech for several hours, and we haven't been able to resolve the problem yet. He tells me that the problem is that "Java script" is not installed on my almost new Dell XPS. I even reinstalled Vista at his suggestion and get the same error when attempting to install CS3. Has anyone else had this problem? Or has anyone had experience trying to install JAVA. It will not install on my system either. Any suggestions? 7008Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 42 replies 1. Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe Customer Support for assistance. Internal Error 2739. The problem is applicable for both 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows, normally Windows Vista or Windows 7. The solution for Internal Error 2739 problem is to re-register the JScript.dll (or optionally VBScript.dll) module in Windows, as suggested in Adobe Forums (link dead). To do so: Run an elevated command prompt as Administrator. For Windows 32-bit user, ensure that the command prompt is at C:\Windows\System32\ folder. For Windows 64-bit, issue the following command to change to 64-bit folder in order to use the correct DLL files: cd ..\SysWow64 Type the following command and hit Enter: regsvr32 jscript.dll and optionally (if problem persists), regsvr32 vbscript.dll Run the Adobe installer and other setup program again. I was getting a very unhelpful"internal error 2739". It turns out that this is the MSI error code for "Could not access http://david.gardiner.net.au/2007/02/internal-error-2739-on-vista-x64.html JavaScript runtime for custom action" (you get to see that more helpful message if you turn on MSI logging). The first link above suggests re-registering JScript.dll. I tried that to no avail. But I'm running Vista x64, so I wondered if there were different versions of regsvr32.exe? A quick search of my \WINDOWS folder confirmed there are - in the \WINDOWS\SysWOW64 folder there's another version, and guess adobe flash what - there's also a different version of jscript.dll! So, I tried the following, then re-ran the installer for DXCore and Refactor, and success :-)cd c:\Windows\SysWow64 regsvr32 jscript.dll Posted at 2/07/2007 09:37:00 am Labels: DotNet, Vista 56 comments: Max said...
