I received the same error message with InDesign and Photoshop. All three programs had, up to this point, been working fine.I uninstalled CS3, https://forums.adobe.com/thread/906656 restarted my computer, and attempted to reinstall. The shared components installed fine, but Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Version Cue, etc. did not install, and gave me the "Component install failed" error message.I went through the list on this Support page.I tried all of the Solutions except the ones based upon Windows Event Viewer error numbers (as my Event Viewer didn't show any of the listed numbers).I didn't install any updates or download anything between the last time CS3 worked and when it failed on Friday, so I'm not sure what caused it to fail in the first place. If anyone has any suggestions or advice, I'd appreciate it.
