• VIEW ALL • PRINT • NEXT >> • Export Module failure by Jay Prather on Sep 1, 2010 at 5:18:18 pm Hello, I have Adobe CS5, been using it after effects quicktime output module failed just fine, but the last few to attemps to export my project, output module failed after effects cs6 its gets half way thru, then fails, I even went back to the original file which worked fine before. an output module failed. the file may be damaged or corrupted. (-1610153464) But I get this error message now = "After Effects error: Rendering error while writing to file “/Volumes/HD-HSQ/Steve Rother 3/MAIN_2.mov”. An output module failed. The file may be damaged or output module failed after effects cc corrupted. Now to get an accurate diagnosis, you have to supply a whole litany of information about your machine (processors, cores, RAM) your OS version, how you have memory & cores allocated in AE, Open GL on/off, the type of footage imported into AE (especially the codec). By the way, were you just exporting when this happened, or rendering using AE's Render Queue.
