[I also deleted my Adobe preference file. Hold down right after you start AE. Deleting the preferences often fixes problems, but didn't for me this time.] Return to posts indexReport Post•Re: unknown BIB errorby Chris Clephane on Oct 15, 2008 at 8:08:34 pmWe just got this here as well. For us "Switching to Chinese Language" did nothing. ------ We had just re-loaded our system with all the current installers/plugs, etc. and a project that worked LAST WEEK...now won't open. ----- I was able to figure out that the original file for the project in question had been started in AE 6.5. All subsequent upgrades of AE had happened on that same machine. this last install was a complete wipe/reload of the system with reloading from current installers. I suspect VERY STRONGLY that the BIB errors are caused by Cocoa/Carbon/legacy code references. The latest installers of our plugs/etc. would have NOT installed legacy code due to the current OS version and plug installer versions. ------ I tested this by installing a backup drive of our system OS as it was 1.5 years ago (running 10.4.11) I had madde this to revert back to if we had too many issues transitioning to 10.5. Upon booting from this drive...the project opened without BIB errors. (AE CS3 under 10.4.11 worked fine installed 1.5 years ago.....10.5.5 installed last week with AE CS3 has BIB errors.) Just a thought. I edit video. I post sometimes. I fix things. I eat marshmallows. I play drums. I drink scotch. I like TV. Done typing now.Return to posts indexReport Post•Re: unknown BIB errorby chris sim

not stable during downloador there's problems on the servers side. If refinalizing won't work try deleting your "Tiles" folder in the AE project then go to the prefs' layer settings, hit "purge image https://aescripts.com/forums/discussion/950/geolayers/p4 cache" for the layer you're working with and finalize again. Let me know http://forums.cgsociety.org/archive/index.php?t-555008.html if that helps.CheersMarkus John Fischer July 2015 Great product. I've been working through the basics video & when I add a GEO Shapes layer (the United States),I keep getting this error: After Effects warning: Unknown Exception.I am able to RAM preview the first half of the animation zooming in, but once I start to get after effects more zoomed in I get that error. On latest version of Yosemite & latest version of AE. If I wait , it eventually works and I can see its downloading tiles as they are appearing in the temp folder, just seams the controller window looses connection and looks like unknown bib error its not doing anything. CTRL + Shift+ C just makes AE hang until it finishes. Anyone else finding this? I have set this up at work with our licenses and all are doing the same. Macbook Pro.Hi John,We've had similar problems on some AE-Projects. What helped us out wasopeningAE's preferences holding SHIFT. This will reveal a secret section of the prefs... should be the last item on the list left-side. There you can deactivate or purge your layercache every few frames. This ends up in longer rendertimes but hopefully helps with the issue you described.Im noticing with CC2014 PC that the finalization screen is freezing and hangs AE.
