"make sure your apple wireless device is plugged and is in range an error of your computer or connected via ethernet and try again (-6753)." we have a macbook 2.4 running ox 10.5.8 through an external firewire drive and our primary network is through an airport extreme. the airport extreme has firmware v.7.4.2 and the express has firmware v.6.1.1; i downloaded the v. 6.3 update, but when i tried to apply it to the ap express it found the device, went through an error occurred the update process, but did not successfully perform the update ("An error occurred while attempting to communicate with the AirPort Express. (-8)" ). i'll appreciate any assistance. Plug it directly into the computer via ethernet. You could also try a reset on the AirPort Express. [support.apple.com] Good luck. - Winston ------------------------ Be seeing you. Then I think administration will work OK through the AirPort Extreme. - W ------------------------ Be seeing you.
