Try getting another set of backup to assure the source database server hardware is intact. --Satya SKJ Microsoft SQL Server MVP Reply With Quote 07-13-07,04:51 #3 mukuljain View Profile View Forum Posts Registered User Join Date Jul 2007 Posts 2 an internal consistency error occurred.. This of course is not an option because i tried it yesterday and it took it like 8 hours to finally tell me there is not enough free space on a 30GB free external drive to put an image compressed in HIGH that by itself it's just above 36GB? so... i need to image only the C: partition and not all the disk sector-by-sector. The motherboard is an Asus P4S8X with an onboard Promise Raid Controller 376. I never had any trouble using Norton Ghost with this motherboard before when having a SATA drive connected to the PDC. But now when I have a drive connected to this controller I get the above error. Booting without an internal inconsistency the SATA drive and just the IDE drives work. The error message says exactly "An internal inconsistency has been detected" If this problem persists contact Symantec Technical Support at http://service.symantec.com" and the ttle of the message is "Internal Error 36000". Can anyone tell me how to save the error file to a usb flash drive or onto one of the IDE drives that are also connected to the motherboard ? I cannot save it to the A: floppy drive for some reason.
