Symptom The problem does not occur on just any machine but when you encounter the problem on one machine, installing other version of Notes also fail with the same error message. Environment Notes 8.5.3 - Windows 7, Notes 9.0.1 - Windows 10 Resolving the problem This has been reported to Quality Engineering under APAR IC87663 and SPR GHAT8RZMEQ. A revised version of 8.5.3 and 9.0.1 without this type of compression is available for download. Please contact IBM Notes Support to obtain this file. The file is currently only available for English and Japanese (8.5.3 only) versions. Workaround: In one case, the issue was resolved by extracting then re-compressing the "updateSite.zip" inside the installer. Steps: 1. Run the installer for Notes 8.5.3 or 9.0.1. 2.
