There have been several reports suggesting that distribution lists don't import/export very good. I'd suggest remaking them. I've trawled google and had a good look round and followed several MVP recommendations including repairing outlook. I have to wait for my MD to come back in so he can check for any duplicated contacts (it's his PC). I'll let you know how I get on. Now got HP Lapt

The preference should be GAL. Open the list to view all members and select Update Now button. Once updated create an internal a New Message and start typing the name in the To: field and once auto-fill completes the entry select delete on the keyboard. Then manually navigate to the Distribution list. Finally, if this does not resolve the issue you’ll need to delete the Distribution List and recreate it.
