user who is trying to send an email to a group from his contacts in Outlook 2007. He receives the following error "an internal support function returned an internal support function returned an error contact group an error". This is a group that he frequently emails. Thanks. Thursday, December 08, 2011 5:09 PM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Hi mardner, Based on my research, this error might caused by that there is a duplicate, one-off contact in the DL, containing the Internet address for a member of an internal support function returned an error office 365 the Microsoft Exchange Server Global Address List (GAL). To workaround this: a, Do not use the identical display name for one-off contacts in a DL that also have Internet entries in the GAL. b, If you need to include a GAL member's Internet address in a contact DL, use a different display name. PS: A one-off address entry is made in a DL by clicking the Add New button and then adding the recipient and Internet e-mail address without adding the recipient as a contact.Max Meng TechNet Community Support Marked as answer by Max MengMicrosoft contingent staff, Moderator Sunday, December 18, 2011 1:20 PM Tuesday, December 13, 2011 5:46 AM Reply | Quote Moderator Microsoft is conducting an online survey to understand your opinion of the Technet Web site.
