Can you give me more information about when the error occurs? Does any part of the export complete? Does the error only occur when you export multiple files? Can you post a screen shot https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/lightroom_4_2_unable_to_export_an_internal_error_has_occurred_attempt_to_index_a_nil_value of your export dialog, so we can see the exact settings you are using? Like Comment 0 people like this Submit Cancel 4 years ago William BLACKSTONE 3 Posts 0 Reply Likes This problem has occurred on several occasions and, I believe, always in carrying out the following steps with multiple files: 1. Selected several (10 - 70) images for Export 2. Exported to a folder and specified Show in Explorer 3. Reviewed the exported images in Explorer 4. Identified one or more images for further processing and deleted all exported files from Explorer 5. Performed further processing on the selected images 6. Marked one or more images as Rejected 7. Deleted from disk all Rejected images using Control Backspace 8. Tried to export the remaining selected images. No portion of the export completed. 9. Closed and restarted LR to complete the export. We’ve got the full details below on how to install and update it. If you’re updating an existing version of our plug-in, you’ll first want to quit Lightroom before proceeding with your installation method of choice. Install with Creative Cloud (LR CC and LR6) Install Manually (LR6 and earlier) Make sure your plug-in is up to date! Neither Adobe nor SmugMug supports the older versions of our plug-in, and we don’t want your experience to degrade in any way. The latest version auto-updates and should keep your workflow running smoothly without worry. Install with Creative Cloud (LR CC and LR6) Grab the Creative Cloud App Manager and install it if it isn’t already on your machine. Turn on “Files Sync” when you've installed Creative Cloud so plug-ins will be automatically synced. Install the SmugMug plug-in. You’re done! Restart Lightroom CC and have fun editing your photos. Install Manually (LR6 and Earlier) The usual installation locations are normally hidden in both Mac OS X and Windows, so you’ll need to make them visible: Download the latest version of the plugin HERE. Unzip the plugin file. Move SmugMug.lrplugin to your desired folder, replacing your-username with, well, your username. Recommended Locations Mac OSX: /Users/your-username/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Modules Windows Vista/7/8/10: C:\Users\your-username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Modules Windows XP: C:\Documents and Users\your-username\Application Data\Adobe\Lightroom\Modules To make these locations visible, use these instructions for Mac OSX or Windows. You might need to create the Modules folder for a first-time installation. Now that you’ve got the plug-in, let’s help Lightroom find and install it: Start Lightroom. Select File > Plug-in Manager. Click the Add button. Browse to the folder where you saved the plugin and select it. Then click Add Plug-in. The plugin should show that it's Installed and Running. Click "Done," and you're set.
