I microsoft outlook 2013 an internal support function returned an error receive the error mesage "an internal support function return an error" What can I do to resolve this? It works fine in the an internal support function returned an error outlook 2003 past. I don't know what happen and it will no longer work. Are you using Outlook to connect to an Exchange server? Assuming the number of contacts in the distribution group hasn't exceeded Outlook's ability to use

If not then re-create the distribution list and check what happens. 2. Maybe a Distribution group has been recreated. Try to expand the distribution groups that are in the To/Cc/Bcc boxes. For those that you cannot expand: Delete the from the .nk2-file by starting to type the display name of the group in a To/Cc/Bcc field, set the focus on it when it appears in the drop down list and hitting the "Del" button. Then, type the display name of the distribution group once again and click the "Check Names" button. 3. There have been several reports suggesting that distribution lists don't import/export very good. I'd suggest remaking them. This can be caused by a variety of issues with the Distribution List and https://lookoutlook.wordpress.com/2009/12/29/an-internal-support-function-returned-an-error/ should be should involve trouble-shooting steps in the following order: Check recipients http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f57/outlook-list-sending-error-554531.html for possible duplicates – lists are sometime created using duplicate names in the GAL and Contacts. The preference should be GAL. Open the list to view all members and select Update Now button. Once updated create a New Message and start typing the name in the To: field and an internal once auto-fill completes the entry select delete on the keyboard. Then manually navigate to the Distribution list. Finally, if this does not resolve the issue you’ll need to delete the Distribution List and recreate it.
