external email accounts, and pretty much everyone in the company's email address also. sending to individuals in the address book works fine every time, but selecting the group with all the users in it seems to fail at least 50% of the time with the "internal support function" error. I did find reference to this error in outlook 2000, where "there is a duplicate, one-off contact in the DL, containing an internal support function returned an error contact group the Internet address for a member of the Microsoft Exchange Server Global Address List (GAL)." only issue is that I was able to eventually send the email, if the above was the case it should fail every time, right? Uninstall this integration part of your virus scanner and try again; you'd still be sufficiently protected by your on-access scanner part of the virus scanner. Try sending it to an email address which is not in your address book contacts. If it works then the issue is with the address book. There are possibilities of corruption in the address book.
