Discussion in 'Windows 7 Networking' started by yoyorocks, Jun 9, 2010. yoyorocks New MemberJoined:Jun 6, 2010Messages:34Likes Received:0 I'm trying to access the network settings on my Windows 7. When I click on "Properties" I get a message saying "An unexpected error occured." Tried this solution on Microsoft KB, didn't work - I get an error when I enter ole32.dll in an unexpected error the "Run" box. This is the error: "C:\Windows\System32\ole32.dll module was installed, but DllRegisterServer failed with the error code 0x80070005." Thank you. #1 yoyorocks, Jun 9, 2010 Trouble Noob WhispererJoined:Nov 30, 2009Messages:13,845Likes Received:832 yoyorocks said: ↑I'm trying to access the network settings on my Windows 7. Try this and see if the registration is successful Click Start Orb then All Programs then Accessories, then right click on the command prompt and choose "Run as Administrator" at the command prompt type regsvr32 %systemroot%\system32\ole32.dll #2 Trouble, Jun 9, 2010 yoyorocks New MemberJoined:Jun 6, 2010Messages:34Likes Received:0 Again, I receive the same error. EDIT: Nope, I don't. When I ran as administrator, I got a message saying that "the DllRegisterServer was successfully completed for ole32.dll," but it doesn't make any difference - I still can't access the settings. #3 yoyorocks, Jun 9, 2010 Last edited: Jun 9, 2010 Trouble Noob WhispererJoined:Nov 30, 2009Messages:13,845Likes Re
Network Connections - Windows Networking When I right-click for 'Properties' on the local area connection instance within network connections I receive the message "An unexpected error occurred." and the properties page does not display. The network appears to work ok though. I tried to uninstall the hardware driver, but the connection instance created after re-install does the same thing. Any suggestions? Thanks!...
