The move to new iTunes and new IOS clearly has a few settling issues.Steps needed:1. Sign-out of iTunes Store2. Disconnect iPhone and switch off 'sync over wifi'3. Close iTunes4. Shutdown and cold re-start computer5. Start iTunes6. Dock iPhone and allow sync to take as long as needed (10 mins+ for me)7. Force new sync and watch steps flow through8. Like anyother devices I used for development, I attached the device and pressed "Use For Development" is XCode Organizer. The process started but a few seconds later the progress bar went away and I received this error message : " An Unknown Error Occurred " I registered its UDID in devices section manually and the provisioning profile is successfully installed on the device but there still is a yellow an unknown error dot in front of iPad's name in organizer and the device is not appearing in the iOS Devices list ( so that I cannot run my app on it ). I tried anything came to my mind but nothing worked out :( Any ideas ? From what I can tell, the solution was update the device to the most recent version of iOS, 9.1 to 9.2.1. –Jacksonkr Jan 26 at 14:01

I have searched the knowledge base but there is nothing for the error message " [serverbackupjobname] -- The job failed with the following error: An unknown error occurred within the NDMP subsystem." That is all it says, this is not a VM or Hyper-V server nor a Netware or Red Hat server. And what is NDMP subsystem?? Thanks Cathy Solved! Go to Solution. This server use to be a BE 2011 backup server. I had not removed the backup exec from it. Once I did that and reinstalled the agent, I did not get this error any longer. Thanks to all that responded back to this post. I do appreciate each of you. Have a good one.
