What is untrapped runtime error? A trappable error is a runtime error that has not already been trapped. An untrapped runtime error is any runtime error generated by a statement which does not specify an error variable (this includes statements which can have an optional error variable parameter, but which do not). What is trappable error? What is untrapped runtime error? Pls give some examples... Thanks. What is untrapped runtime error? Dividing by zero will produce an error, so, if you have this VB Code: Dim i As LongDim j As LongDim k As Longj=0i=1k = i / j You will receive an error and that error is untrapped and will result in a runtime error that will end your application. However, if you use the same code, but trap the error VB Code: Dim i As LongDim j As LongDim k As Longj=0i=1On Error Goto ErrTrapk = i / jExit SubErrTrap:MsgBox "An error of " & Err.Number & " " Err.Description & " has occured."End Sub The same error is produced, however, instead of a runtime error that will end your application, the error trapped, a messagebox displayed, and your application rolls along. In this case, it occurs in evennia/commands/cmdhandler.py line 435 There may be other factors to reproduce this one. Tag if you need more information. kaihuang201 commented Feb 9, 2016 Could you please post the complete stack trace? BlauFeuer commented Feb 9, 2016 You'd have an untrapped error to explain what a stack trace is, I can reproduce it in stock Evennia + tutorial, but there might be factors that you are missing if you can't get the error, yourself. I didn't notice it occurring until after I set MULTISESSION_MODE = 2, for example. strikaco commented Feb 9, 2016 The stack trace is the debug information that a program usually spits out along with the untrapped error you're seeing. It's what told you the problem is on line 435..they're just asking for all of the information rather than just that piece. kaihuang201 commented Feb 9, 2016 Okay I am able reproduce the error by using "look" command OOC, in a default game with "MULTISESSION_MODE = 2" added to /server/conf/settings.py Here's the stack trace I got: 2016-02-09 21:00:32+0000 [AMPProtocol,0,127.0.0.1] [::] Traceback (most recent call last): 2016-02-09 21:00:32+0000 [AMPProtocol,0,127.0.0.1] [::] File "/home/kh/evennia/evennia/evennia/commands/cmdhandler.py", line 435, in _run_command 2016-02-09 21:00:32+0000 [AMPProtocol,0,127.0.0.1] [::] ret = yield cmd.func() 2016-02-09 21:00:32+0000 [AMPProtocol,0,127.0.0.1] [::] File "/home/kh/evennia/evennia/evennia/commands/default/player.py", line 104, in func 2016-02-09 21:00:32+0000 [AMPProtocol,0,127.0.0.1] [::] self.msg(self.player.a
