The tech folks at Verizon could not help resolving this. I tried a battery pull andfactory data reset but the notification continues. Has anyone experienced this same issue or any a

The last couple of days I have been getting an error that says connection error. It happens all day long. When it does connect it shows the same messages I read http://www.droidforums.net/threads/aol-mail-problems.205244/ earlier as not read. My Bionic is stock and have not downloaded any third party apps. Has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it? Thanks #1 tpearson25, Apr 11, 2012 dags5000 Member Joined: Sep 28, 2011 Messages: 202 Likes Received: 5 Trophy Points: 18 Ratings: +5 Aol is ancient. Strongly advise to step into the 21st gmail is 100000x better and integration with the bionic being an android phone makes it a no brainer Sent from my DROID BIONIC using DroidForums #2 dags5000, Apr 11, 2012 Dame425 New Member Joined: Dec 7, 2011 Messages: 13 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 1 Ratings: +0 I use both. And yes I was experiencing that same exact problem. As of yesterday it seems to be back to normal Sent from my DROID BIONIC using DroidForums #3 Dame425, Apr 12, 2012 tpearson25 Member Joined: Jan 26, 2010 Messages: 50 Likes Received: 2 Trophy Points: 8 Location: Florida Ratings: +2 This is not about how out dated AOL is. The fact is it has been working fine for about a year. I am still having the issue of connection error. Thanks for your help. #4 tpearson25, Apr 12, 2012 Natey2 Active Member Joined: Oct 23, 2010 Messages: 1,31

It is set to "Push", but email comes anywhere from immediately to several hours later. I have noticed that the emails seem to come in groups. For example,I sent a test aol mail email from my Gmail to my AOL account. It showed up about 30 minutes later along with two other emails (which were apparently sent two and three minutes previous).Occasionally, when I try to send an email from one of my AOL accounts, I get an error message that says something about "authentication" failed. I cannot find the email in the "Outbox" or "Sent" folders...in fact, there is never anything showing up in either of those aol mail on boxes. I can never tell if the email was sent or not, even after I click "refresh". There is no notice that the mail is sending or has been sent, like there is with GMail.I have changed the Incoming Server settings and the outgoing server settings according to the various suggestions I have received (e.g. changed the port back and forth, checked and unchecked "use secure connection" and "verify certificate", etc.).Also, after reading an email, it will show up again as "unread", and willcontinue to do so until I get another email (which will thencontinually show up as "unread").Since I've read that others have had similar issues, could this bea Droid X issue, an Android issue? If so, could this be fixed by a future update? Other than getting rid of AOL, is there anything else I can do? (I've thought about changing all my AOL mail to GMail. Is is possible to have more than one GMail account? If so, how would this beset up on the Droid X?) 14112Views Tags: none (add) delays_email_problemsContent tagged with delays_email_problems, delays_email_problemsContent tagged with delays_email_problems This content has been marked as final.
