While there is no universal fix for this problem, here are http://www.personalcomputerfixes.com/program-errors/how-to-fix-itunes-match-error-4002/ some things you can do to try to fix the problem. iTunes Match Error 4002 Fix The first thing that you should do when you get the iTune Match error 4002 is to make sure you are running the latest versions of iTunes and Genius. If you are using older versions, they might be causing the 4002 error. To update iTunes and Genius, disable the Match service, update your software and enable Match again. This should fix the error. Funnily enough, downgrading from iTunes 11 to iTunes 10.7 fixes the problem in some cases. So try that if the error started appearing after an upgrade to iTunes 11. Another way to solve this error is to relaunch everything. This means that you'll need to sign out of Match, sign out of iTunes, check for Genius updates and apply them if they are available, and then sign back into iTunes and Match. - using an XPathcounter → iTunes Match Error4002 Posted: February 7, 2012 | Author: Casper | Filed under: apple | Tags: 4002, apple, Genius, iTunes, Match |1 Comment So I ran into this very not fun thing with iTunes Match where no matter what I would do it, would throw ‘Error 4002' at me. After some digging around I found some information where people pointed in the direction of iTunes Genius (don't ask), and then looking around a bit I found an option to turn off iTunes Genius (Store -> Turn Off Genius), you might have to turn off iTunes Match first. But after turning off iTunes Genius, I was able to turn iTunes Match on again, and it did update correctly. How I just love complicates undocumented error codes, which does not make any sense.
