The Windows Process Activation Service failed to generate an application pool config file for application pool 'DefaultAppPool'. The error type is '7'. To resolve this issue, please ensure that the applicationhost.config file is correct and recommit the last configuration windows process activation changes made. The data field contains the error number. I used a elevated command prompt and ran these commands. cd %Windir%\system32\\inetserv appcmd list config The article said you would either get success or an error in the xml file. I don't see any errors but it shows me the entire configuration file. Is success considered seeing the file with no error? I am not sure exactly what an error would look like here. How do I do this part of the resolution? If the config file is correct then is says recommit the last configuration changes made. The data field contains the error number. 0 Question by:kdschool Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google Best Solution bykdschool I found another article that answers part of this. 3.At the command prompt, type appcmd list config.
