Sometimes service does not start automatically after reboot. When I try to start it manually Error 1114: A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed. "Kb 931096" looks https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/appv/2013/02/13/support-tip-app-v-client-service-fails-with-error-1114-a-dynamic-link-library-dll-initialization-routine-failed/ similar to this problem. We are using Mcafee. But it says, this problem has been corrected after v3 (We are using v4.6). And also, on some clients, after I have installed App-V client, service does not start unless an administratorlogs on. If I try to start service, same error occurs. McAfee, i think block some ports which the APP-V Client uses. Hence it will reduce the functionality of the APP-V Client. I think it's same like declaring an environment variable before the installation of the APP-V Client. The variable doesnot works if declared after installing APP-V Client. service is running. - If it will not start, open a CMD prompt with admin privileges, and type: winmgmt /verifyrepository - If the result is "Repository inconsistent", then type: winmgmt /salvagerepository - Restart the Windows Management Instrumentation and the Application Virtualization Client services. - if that command does not work, try the command winmgmt /resetrepository This should fix any WMI errors which may cause App-V to stop running.
