If you look down at the trace there it mentions about failing to load the assembly from ASP.NET Temporary files. The web config add assembly error however disappears for itself after a while. Would appreciate any thoughts on this issue. Configuration Error Description: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. I was finally able to resolve this problem by turning of the indexing service in Start->Administrative Tools->Services. You may need to turn off the indexing service on your server and reboot it. After that, assuming this is the same issue I had, you shouldn't have any further problems. http://forums.asp.net/t/1012001.aspx?Configuration+Error+add+assembly+
