It is working fine in windows XP and windows 2000 server. Any idea on this error would help.Krishna Prakash Tuesday, December 13, 2011 12:24 PM Reply | Quote All replies 0 Sign in to vote Errors starting with 0x8 are usually permission errors or memory pointers not pointer to a memory location you have permission to access. Try opening the file manually using excel and see if the file will open with the same crediatials the program is using. If the file opens then maybe the variable mobjExcelReport.MyExcelApp is not valid. I would then add a break point on the line that is giving the error by selecting the line with the mouse and pressing F9. then add the variable mobjExcelReport to the watch window by highlighting the variable and right click the mouse selecting "Add Watch". then check to see if both mobjExcelReport and mobjExcelReport.MyExce

I'm using late binding (as I've found with multiple examples here on the forum) and the populated 80010105 automation error document prints fine, but when the user attempts to save they get the automation error. I don't get it on my machine however, but my customer gets this error on multiple workstations. Here's some code snippets: vb Code: Dim oApp As ObjectDim oDoc As ObjectSet oApp = CreateObject("Word.Application")Set oDoc = oApp.Documents.Open(App.Path & "\docs\template.dot"){bunch of code to populate form fields}lintresult = MsgBox("Save Document?", vbYesNo, "Save as Word Document")If lintresult = vbYes Then flowprnt.CDSave.DefaultExt = "doc" flowprnt.CDSave.InitDir = "c:\program files\appname\docs" flowprnt.CDSave.ShowSave If LTrim(flowprnt.CDSave.FileName) <> "" Then oDoc.SaveAs FileName:=flowprnt.CDSave.FileName, FileFormat:=wdFormatDocument End IfEnd If this fails on the odoc.saveas line. Thanks in advance for any help!!! m. Last edited by Hack; Apr 11th, 2008 at 01:33 PM.
