What do you think is the problem? Thanks vb6 share|improve this question asked Oct 16 '13 at 11:11 user1782426 4028 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote accepted The 440 Automation error usually indicates that one (or more) COM object failed to load. This might be an ActiveX exe, ocx, http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19401873/run-time-error-440-vb6 or maybe one of the external dependencies you included in your project. Make sure all the external libraries you use are registered correctly on the system that's giving the error. You can test this by registering the ActiveX (.ocx, .exe), and COM components (usually .dll) manually. share|improve this answer answered Oct 16 '13 at 11:25 Stefan 3,31752145 How can i register them manualy sir? all i know is to register the ocx manualy I only know how to reg ocx by using regsvr32 –user1782426 Oct 16 '13 at 11:36 Use regsvr32 for the ocx files and the COM-dlls. You can register an ActiveX-exe by running it with the option /regserver see: support.microsoft.com/kb/297279 and support.microsoft.com/kb/146219 –Stefan Oct 16 '13 at 11:41 PS. If your project uses a .NET ComVisible dll, you'll need RegAsm.exe, it is somewhere in the .NET framework directory. see: stackoverflow.com/questions/11322353/… –Stefan Oct 16 '13 at 11:48 Thanks sir, I will try it, there is another error that i encounter sir beside this error , the other runtime error 9 - subscript out of range, do you have any idea on what is the cause of this? –user1782426 Oct 16 '13 at 12:00 I think it's a bit out of scope here but: Runtime Error 9 usually happens when you are using something like an array, and you are trying to access an element (usually by index) that doesn't ex

I thought this may be a mismatched or incorrect versions of the VB6 SP6 runtime files so supplied him with a setup automation error program to re-install these along with all other dll's & ocx's used but the problem still exists. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Andy Mar 5 '08 #1 Post Reply Share this Question 1 Reply P: 9 Wolfling Make sure that there are no events behind those controls.
