I have provided buttons on the form [ie. print, go to next record, find, etc] through the command button wizzard. When the form is opened by some of the individuals in my group they are able to use the buttons without any problems, other individuals receive the following error message: Automation Error. The expression may not result in the name of a macro, the name of a user-defined function or event procedure. There may have been an error evaluating the formula, event or macro. Goto a users computer that doesn't receive the error messege. Open a module in desing view (doesn't matter which one ... temporaraliy create a new one if needed) From here goto the tools-references menu (won't appear if you're not editing a module) The look a each item checked and notate the path listed. Then for each user that gets the error, set them up witht the same references. You may need to copy some file from other computers or the network. example: I continually have a problem with a file named marquee.ocx if it is missing users get a "Compile error in hidden module main" by using this methods I discoved that marquee.ocx is in the c:\winnt/system32 directory of every user that doesn't get the error.
