Excel Automation Error Disconnected From Client
only takes a minute: Sign up Automation error: The object invoked has disconnected from its clients up vote 3 down vote favorite All I did was copy-paste a piece of code that worked perfectly fine in a different sub into my new sub and change the URL I wanted to navigate. The first sub still works, but the second one doesn't. automation error the object invoked has disconnected from its clients vb6 I'm pretty stumped. Dim ie As InternetExplorer Dim html As HTMLDocument Set ie = New InternetExplorer ie.Visible = False ie.navigate "http://cesp.hma.eu/Contacts" With ie Do Until .READYSTATE = 4: DoEvents: Loop Do While .Busy: DoEvents: Loop End With Set html = ie.document Set ie = Nothing Application.StatusBar = "" Using F8 to check the code step by step, it seems that the URL ignores the ie.Visible = False (it opens when I reach With ie), then makes the error pop up on Do While .Busy: DoEvents: Loop I honestly don't know where to start looking to fix this, since I literally only changed the URL and nothing else. My best bet was to just close my workbook and re-open it, but the issue decided to persist. Any hints, explanations, or solutions you can come up with would be greatly appreciated. excel vba excel-vba share|improve this question asked Jul 29 '15 at 15:35 Looker 99111 Have you tried turning it off and on again? –Excel Developers Jul 29 '15 at 15:49 Well, I reboot my entire compu

I got this error: "Automation error: The object invoked has disconnected from its clients" when http://stackoverflow.com/questions/31704981/automation-error-the-object-invoked-has-disconnected-from-its-clients I try to save a document(Word), spredsheet(Excel) etc. in Office 2010 (also happened in 2007 before updating to 2010 last week). I get the error when trying to use "Save as" from Excel. I get it regardless of the state of the document, whether I try to save an empty document from a freshly opened Excel session or if I try to "Save as" https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/533444b6-95f1-45dd-98fc-072b46b3e3ff/automation-error-the-object-invoked-has-disconnected-from-its-clients-office-mainly-excel?forum=officeitproprevious an existing document. Just using Save on an existing document does not initiate the error. In Word I get the message only sporadically when trying to save. I have tried the registry fix to no avail and running in safe mode does not make any difference. My problems started recently, and without remembering the exact date it wasdefinitely later than the15th of August (time of the patch that appear to have created a similiar problem with regards to some aspects of VBA). We are a pretty big organisation, and as far as I know none of my colleagues have the same problem and our IT helpdesk is miffed. Since originally starting to have this problem there have been quite a few miscellaneous patches to Windows - All of them have been installed but it has not helped matters. I get this only when running the program as an executable..... Never in Visual Basic... I've isolated it to one routine, but can't figure out what this message is trying to tell me... I trap the error now, and the program seems to continue to work just fine object invoked has after the error... but I really think I should track it down! Only way to find it, is writing tracking code, what writes all to the logfile. oh1mie/Vic Feb 16th, 2006,09:58 AM #3 tward View Profile View Forum Posts Thread Starter Hyperactive Member Join Date Apr 2004 Posts 342 Re: Automation Error -2147417848 The object invoked has disconnected from its clients I am connected to an Access Database.... I'll do some logging to see if I can track it down.. Problem, of course, is that it is not consitent at all! I'm sure it will end up being something stupid that I am doing, but I just don't see it right now.... Didn't know if anyone else had any insight!
