into my new sub and change the URL I wanted to navigate. The first sub still works, but the second one doesn't. I'm pretty stumped. Dim ie As InternetExplorer Dim html As HTMLDocument Set ie = New InternetExplorer ie.Visible = False ie.navigate "http://cesp.hma.eu/Contacts" With ie Do Until .READYSTATE = 4: DoEvents: Loop Do While .Busy: DoEvents: Loop End With Set html = ie.document Set ie = Nothing Application.StatusBar = "" Using F8 to check the code step by step, it
Automation Error The Object Invoked Has Disconnected From Its Clients
seems that the URL ignores the ie.Visible = False (it opens when I reach With ie), then makes the error pop up on Do While .Busy: DoEvents: Loop I honestly don't know where to start looking to fix this, since I literally only changed the URL and nothing else. My best bet was to just close my workbook and re-open it, but the issue decided to persist. Any hints, explanations, or solutions you can come up with would be greatly appreciated. excel vba excel-vba share|improve this question asked Jul 29 '15 at 15:35 Looker 99111 Have you tried turning it off and on again? –Excel Developers Jul 29 '15 at 15:49 Well, I reboot my entire computer, it doesn't look like anything's changed :p Half-jokes aside, I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that. –Looker Jul 29 '15 at 16:05 So if you change the URL in the new sub back to what it was in the old sub does it still throw and error? That would be handy to know so you can narrow it down to a website issue or a code issue. –Tim Jul 29 '15 at 16:41 Oh, this horribleness plagues me too. My guess is that it's related to security settings in IE. Try Set ie = New InternetExplorerMedium instead. That helped me. –variant Jul 29 '15 at 16:45 @Tim - Ch

I get this only when running the program as an automation error the executable..... Never in Visual Basic... I've isolated it to one routine, but can't figure out what this message is trying to tell me... I trap the error now, and the program seems to continue to work just fine after the error... but I really think I should track it down! Only way to find it, is writing tracking code, what writes all to the logfile. oh1mie/Vic Feb 16th, 2006,09:58 AM #3 tward View Profile View Forum Posts Thread Starter Hyperactive Member Join Date Apr 2004 Posts 342 Re: Automation Error -2147417848 The object invoked has disconnected from its clients I am connected to an Access Database.... I'll do some logging to see if I can track it down.. Problem, of course, is that it is not consitent at all! I'm sure it will end up being something stupid that I am doing, but I

It is supposed to copy the active row from Sheet1 to a row in Sheet2, then delete the row that was copied from Sheet1. When I run the macro I get the error 'Run-Time Error '-21474417848 (80010108)': Automation Error - The Object invoked has Disconnected from its Clients.' The error only happens sometimes... sometimes the macro works fine. It happens maybe once every 3 times the macro is run! I read the article at http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q319832 and this seems to be the problem. But I don't understand the article well enough to know how to fix the code. Here is the macro: Sub Move_Completed_Row() ' Application.DisplayFullScreen = True Selection.EntireRow.Cut Sheets("Sheet2").Select Rows("9:9").Select Selection.EntireRow.Insert Shift:=xlDown Range("A1").Select Sheets("Sheet1").Select Selection.EntireRow.Delete Shift:=xlUp End Sub Can anyone give me an idea of what to do to the code to prevent the error? Thanks! I had a similar problem with a macro that used "cut". It worked reliably in NT4 but occasionally glitched when run on Windows2000 giving the me
