Using VB6 SP6 + Crystal Reports package that comes with VB6 (version 4.6). The application has multiple forms that produce reports. I had a Crystal Reports control on every form that produced reports. CR 4.6 does not seem to handle well the loading and unloading of the OCX and sharing the associated DLLs behind the scenes when opening and closing multiple forms that have the CR's OCX on them. The work around I found was to create one single form that ha

I trap the error now, and the program seems to continue to work just fine after the error... but I really think I should track it down! This is a known issue with Crystal Reports. To resolve this, open the Crystl32.dep in Notepad or a similar text editor and modify it like this: [CRPE32.DLL] Dest=$(WinSysPath) Uses1=CRPE32.DLL Uses2= change it to this: ;[CRPE32.DLL] ;Dest=$(WinSysPath) ;Uses1=Crpe32.dll ;Uses2= And make sure when deploying the app it is installed in the Sys32 folder. __________________ "Artificial Intelligence is no match for natural stupidity." ~unknown MKoslof View Public Profile Find all posts by MKoslof #3 04-29-2004, 07:20 PM isityou Regular Join Date: Oct 2003 Posts: 54 alrite, i ll will try that out.. thankssss isityou View Public Profile Find all posts by isityou #4 04-29-2004, 07:36 PM isityou Regular Join Date: Oct 2003 Posts: 54 btw , i wasnt doing any PDW.. the error comes out when i try to preview the report and not when i was creating a setup package using PDW... so the solution still applies in this case? isityou View Public Profile Find all posts by isityou #5 04-30-2004, 06:16 AM MKoslof Cum Grano Salis Retired Moderator* Gu
