Runtime Error 80131700
Answered by: Excel 2010 VB Run-time Error '-2146232576 (80131700)' Automation Error on CreateObject("System.Collections.ArrayList") ??? Microsoft Office for Developers > Excel for Developers Question 0 Sign in to vote Hi All, Has anyone seen this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/189618 nasty compiler/configuration bug before when trying to use an Excel 2010 Visual Basic macro command like: Set myPriceArray = CreateObject("System.Collections.ArrayList") Stops and throws a "Run-time Error '-2146232576 (80131700)' Automation Error" I just did a fresh install of Windows 8.1 Pro Full 64-bit with Excel 2010 32-bit on my desktop PC (due to Microsoft discontinuing XP support)and any macros I have that use CreateObject("System.Collections.ArrayList") now crash. The https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/9bfcd001-5168-4cff-b2ba-6b8e8d465138/excel-2010-vb-runtime-error-2146232576-80131700-automation-error-on?forum=exceldev full macro is listed below and works fine on other machines like {Windows 8.1 Full, Excel 2010 32-bit} or {Windows XP, Excel 2010}, or {Windows XP, Excel 2007}. I tried: uninstalling/reinstalling Excel 2010 32-bit, checking for updates then repair Excel 2010 32-bit, uninstalling/reinstalling Excel 2010 64-bit, checking forupdates then repair Excel 2010. Still nothing - crashes every time. Can anyone help? Thanks! This one actually worked for me. I downloaded Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 (which automatically also installed 3.5) at the same time, and the following code now works. Much appreciate the suggestions from you and the forum board! Here's the link to the download: http://www.mic
