I can't understand, and, above all, I can't imagine where to look for the cause. It is caused by having references to multiple versions of Excel in the registry, and automation defaulting to one that is no longer installed. In my case, I have Office 2007 installed, then upgraded to 2010, then uninstalled 2010 and re-installed Office 2007. I still have OneNote 2010 installed (but that's the only thing from Office 2010) - and probably because of this every now and again bits of Office 2010 reappear in the registry

The debug flags up on line 7 "Feb = (Me.BillRate * DayNum) * Me.Util_" Set dayRs = db.OpenRecordset("SELECT WrkDays FROM WrkDays ORDER BY WrkMonth;") dayRs.MoveFirst Set DayNum = dayRs.Fields("WrkDays") While Not dayRs.EOF Jan = (Me.BillRate * DayNum) * Me.Util_ dayRs.MoveNext Feb = (Me.BillRate * DayNum) * Me.Util_ dayRs.MoveNext Mar = (Me.BillRate * DayNum) * Me.Util_ dayRs.MoveNext Apr = (Me.BillRate runtime error 440 * DayNum) * Me.Util_ dayRs.MoveNext May = (Me.BillRate * DayNum) * Me.Util_ dayRs.MoveNext Jun = (Me.BillRate * DayNum) * Me.Util_ dayRs.MoveNext Jul = (Me.BillRate * DayNum) * Me.Util_ dayRs.MoveNext Aug = (Me.BillRate * DayNum) * Me.Util_ dayRs.MoveNext Sep = (Me.BillRate * DayNum) * Me.Util_ dayRs.MoveNext Oct = (Me.BillRate * DayNum) * Me.Util_ dayRs.MoveNext Nov = (Me.BillRate * DayNum) * Me.Util_ dayRs.MoveNext Dec = (Me.BillRate * DayNum) * Me.Util_ Wend I am guessing based on how I built this code that I will very likely get a similar error on the lines of code which follow after the "Feb" line. So I want to understand this error more clearly so I can correct future occurances. UPDATE After working with Hans he pointed me to using the recordset.getrows method which accomplished the same process that I was trying to do with less headache. So thank you very much Hans vba ms-access automation ms-access-2007 access-vba share|improve this question edited Dec 26 '13 at 20:25 asked Dec 26 '13 at 17:06 Mr. Finn 64210 I would plead with you to re-name Me.Util_. Use of underscore is certain to create problems, including perhaps the one you are dealing with. –Smandoli Dec 26 '13 at 17:39 I would think the line Set DayNum = dayRs.Fields("WrkDays") needs to go WITHIN the While loop. –Smandoli Dec 26 '13 at 17:41 Unfortunately the Me.Util_ is based on a field I have no control on renaming. Library not registered - Microsoft Access and Visio compatibility P: 1 Punnoose We use access database automation feature to generate outlook email. Recently one machine was upgraded to Windows 7. I hope this will work for you. Feb 27 '13 #2 reply Expert Mod 2.5K+ P: 4,994 zmbd It is my understanding, from reading thru some of the other sites and from Microsoft that VISIO 2010 broke your installation of Office 2007. VISIO installs the new ACE 14.0 database engine and the newer version 14 libraries. Also from what I've read, you should be able to use the "Repair" option within Office-2007 to get your old office up and running again. The KICK-In-The-TEETH is going to happen when you re-start VISIO-2010 in that it will either fail or re-register the new versions of the libraries and ACE. You have three options from what I've seen:Try to run the VISIO within a virtual machine Repair the Office installation every time Upgrade Office to 2010 If you Opt for the upgrade path.... backup all of your old projects. REPAIR the Office2007 installation. Uninstall the VISIO 2010 REPAIR Office2007 installation Uninstall the Office 2007. Install the VISI
