Then try running rm ~/.rdesktop/licence* && rdesktop
map en-us disconnect: Internal licensing error. User 184d can connect ONLY ONE TIME, and after disconnect it fail again. Solution: The workarround that I find, until a patch for this bug is released, is to do: # chown -R root.root /home//.rdesktop and just in case: # chmod -R 444 /home//.rdesktop then just delete the license. file and it work like a charm :D I'm using rdesktop 1.6.0 with Ubuntu 9.04, trying to connect to a Windows 2008 Enterprise 64bit with SP2. 发贴者 John Time: 7:29 PM Tag: Linux, Server, Windows 5 Comments: PabloGo said... Thanks you very much, it helps a lot !See you ! August 11, 2010 at https://it.ece.iastate.edu/rdesktop-internal-licensing-error/ 6:55 AM Anonymous said... I'm sorry but this is just a temporary fix. Works only the first time. There's a lot of similar posts out there recommending changing the folder permissions but this isn't very elegant (esp. for a user environment). Has there been any further development on this issue that anyone knows about? It would be a great help! Thank you. September 4, 2010 at 1:34 PM teja said... I'm using Windows Server 2008 Standard. I've installed 15 TS CALs (per Device CALs). Users are able to use the terminal with applications provided, however, me and my three colleagues are unable to >connect< to the terminal server using rdesktop client on Linux boxes. It [***@IT ~]$ rdesktop -5 192.168.*.* Autoselected keyboard map en-us disconnect: Internal licensing error. Only 3 autoselected keyboard CALs are Issued and active. However there are 8 users on different machines successfully using the terminal application. I found some Temp CALs for our workstations, revoked them and still, we can't connect. Even if we're system administrators, and we don't use the server as a terminal by ourselves, we just administer it, we just have to go physically to the server to reach it. Is there any cache that autoselected keyboard map can be cleaned? Maybe our Linux boxes cache something (I cant find anything on ~./tsclient)?
